Getting Client Sign-Off
Send the handover pack when delivery is complete and the client has everything they need to take ownership.
Send the handover pack when delivery is complete and the client has everything they need to take ownership.
Before you send
Check that the project has:
- Delivered items that match the agreed scope
- Any required login credentials, with passwords updated for client ownership
- Training resources such as Loom videos, PDFs, written guides, or shared folders
- A support boundary that explains what is included, what is excluded, and how long the included window lasts
- The correct linked client profile and email address
Sending the pack
Open the project handover builder and click Send to client. Finalizo sends the client a private handover link. If you have enabled a pack password, send that password through a separate channel.
The client can review delivered items, resources, support terms, and credentials from the handover page. Credential passwords remain masked until the client clicks Reveal, and each reveal is logged.
Collecting sign-off
The handover page links to the sign-off page. The client enters their name and email address, confirms that they received and reviewed the pack, and signs off. They do not need a Finalizo account.
Finalizo records the timestamp, client details, IP address, and browser user agent, then marks the project as signed.
After sign-off
You receive a notification, the project status updates in the dashboard, and the sign-off certificate is available from Projects -> [Project Name] -> Sign-off. Keep that certificate with the project archive so you have a clear closeout record if future support requests fall outside the agreed boundary.
